Need to fax a paper document?

Scan it with your phone first, save it as a PDF or image, then upload it to FaxyFox. Your phone's camera or notes app can usually do this without any extra software.

Clear, well-lit scans work best. A fax is black and white, so contrast matters more than resolution.

Can I fax a picture from my phone?

Yes. FaxyFox accepts PDFs and common image files, so a photo of a document works. A fax is black and white and fairly low resolution, so a good photo makes a real difference at the other end.

Works well

  • Page flat on a table

  • Good, even light

  • All four corners in shot

  • Text you can read

Causes trouble

  • Shadows across the page

  • Blurry or out of focus

  • Edges cropped off

  • Shot at an angle

Do I need a fax app?

No. FaxyFox runs in your phone's browser, so there is nothing to download, no account to create in an app store, and no permissions to grant.

  • Works in any modern mobile browser

  • No fax machine or phone line required

  • No subscription required to send

What happens after you press send?

Your fax is handed to us the moment you submit it, and we carry on with it in the background.

Faxing still runs over real fax networks, so delivery usually takes a few minutes. If the destination is busy or a retry is needed, it can take longer.

You do not need to sit and watch the sending screen.

Can I fax from my phone for free?

Yes. New accounts get 20 free faxing credits. One credit sends one page, so that is up to 20 pages before you buy anything.
